A new fixture can improve ceiling height perception, brighten work areas, reduce shadows, and modernize a space without a full remodel. The key is choosing the right fixture for the electrical box, ceiling structure, location, and circuit.

Signs replacement should not wait

Some conditions call for prompt professional attention rather than another attempt at repair:

  • Visible scorching, melted insulation, smoke marks, or a burning odor
  • Frequent flickering that affects multiple lights or occurs with other electrical problems
  • Rust, water intrusion, or severe corrosion in an outdoor fixture or electrical box
